Form 2-1 Air-Conditioned Zone Input Sheet¶
In “Form 2-1. (Air Conditioning) Air-Conditioned Zone” input sheet, information such as the names and areas of Air-conditioned Zones and information concerning the Air Conditioner Groups that air-condition each zone shall be entered based on the information described in the design drawings (air conditioning equipment drawings).
In the Air-Conditioned Zone Input Sheet, define Air-conditioned Zones which constitute the minimum calculation unit for air-conditioning load (continuous spaces supplied with Hot Heat and Cold Heat by the same Air Conditioner Group) based on the rooms defined in the “Form 1. Room Specifications” input sheet. Furthermore, the names of the Air Conditioner Groups that air-condition each zone shall be defined separately for the Air Conditioner Group that handles the room load and the Air Conditioner Group that handles the outside air load.
Format of the Air-Conditioned Zone Input Sheet¶
The “Form 2-1. (Air Conditioning) Air-Conditioned Zone” input sheet is shown in Figure 2-1-1.
Input Items and Input Methods of the Air-Conditioned Zone Input Sheet¶
The input items and input methods of the “Form 2-1. (Air Conditioning) Air-Conditioned Zone” input sheet are shown below. The numbers in brackets preceding each item name correspond to the numbers in brackets shown at the top of Figure 2-2-1.
(1) Floor, Room Name, Building Use, Room Use, Room Area, Floor-to-floor Height, Ceiling Height¶
- For the rooms subject to air-conditioning calculation among those entered in “Form 1 (Common Conditions) Room Specifications Input Sheet” (Figure 1-2-1), transcribe the information such as the floor and room name. Since full-width and half-width characters are distinguished, care shall be taken when entering data.
- These items must be identical in every respect - including uppercase and lowercase letters and spaces - to those in the “Room Specifications Input Sheet.” However, the order of rooms may differ.
(2) Air-Conditioned Zone and Floor, Air-Conditioned Zone Name¶
- Enter, as character strings, the floor on which the Air-conditioned Zone exists and its name. In the Energy Consumption Performance Calculation Program (Non-residential Version), each zone is identified by the combination of the floor and zone name; therefore, the same Air-conditioned Zone Name shall not be duplicated within the same floor when entering the information.
- The floor shall be entered in half-width characters, in the same manner as in the “Room Specifications Input Sheet,” as “B1F,” “1F,” “M2F,” “RF,” and so forth.
- When the room entered in item (1) constitutes a single Air-conditioned Zone, in principle, the same character string as the room name shall be entered.
- The Air-Conditioned Zone Input Sheet does not allow dividing a room for defining multiple zones. When it is necessary to define one room as multiple zones, the room shall be divided and defined in advance in “Form 1 (Common Conditions) Room Specifications Input Sheet.”
(3)(4) Name of Air Conditioner Group and Room Load Handling / Outside Air Load Handling¶
- Enter, as character strings, the names of the Air Conditioner Groups that handle the room load (load due to internal heat generation within the room and heat gain through transmission from outside and solar radiation) and the outside air load (load due to the introduction of fresh outside air) for each Air-conditioned Zone.
- The “Name of Air Conditioner Group” must be identical to the “Name of Air Conditioner Group” in “Form 2-7 (Air Conditioning) Air Conditioner Input Sheet” described later.
- When the room load and outside air load are handled by the same Air Conditioner Group, enter the same Name of Air Conditioner Group. When they are handled by different groups, enter the name of each Air Conditioner Group that handles the respective load.
- The same Name of Air Conditioner Group may be assigned to multiple zones.
- Each zone must have one Air Conditioner Group defined for room load handling and one for outside air load handling. In cases where outside air is directly supplied to a zone without passing through an Air Conditioner, the name of the Air Conditioner Group that handles the room load shall be entered as the Air Conditioner Group that handles the outside air load.

- This field is for memos during data entry and is not used in the calculation, so entry is optional.
